Bethany House Children's Program Components
Children's Advocacy
Advocacy services include providing assessments and intakes on children, developing a service plan to provide services within the agency and referrals to other agencies and organizations, and advocating with other systems or agencies on behalf of the child.
Recreational Activities
These services are designed to help children have fun, to normalize their situations, and to relieve stress.
Educational Tutoring
Through a federal grant, the Toledo Public Schools provide a trained teacher to tutor resident youths throughout the school year.
Children's Follow-Up Services
The Children's Advocate provides follow-up services to former youth residents of Bethany House. Staff provides supportive services and advocacy for the purpose of ensuring the on-going safety of the child and to ensure the continuing emotional and physical well-being of the child.
