The Silent Witness Project memorializes women and girls killed in acts of domestic violence. In the past decade, 51 such murders have occurred in Northwest Ohio.

During the Unveiling Ceremony, life size silhouettes will be revealed one by one as an individual reader recounts the story of the girl or woman represented by that figure.

This year’s Unveiling Ceremony will be held on October 3rd at 6:00 pm in McMasters Theater at the Main Toledo Lucas County Public Library.

The Main Library provides free covered parking in the attached parking garage. Enter the parking garage from Adams Street. Then, enter the library through the glass doors to access the garage level hallway. Proceed to stairs or elevator. McMasters Theater is located on the third floor of the library. Volunteers will be present to provide guidance.
