Welcome to Bethany House Toledo

Domestic violence destroys lives. There is no easy escape, but there is hope.

Bethany House provides the shelter, resources and time victims and their children need to safely rebuild their lives in the wake of an abusive relationship.

While most homeless shelters offer short-term stays, Bethany House is the only area organization to offer long-term, apartment style transitional shelter, combined with emotional, spiritual and financial support.  We’re also different because we tailor our Trauma-Informed program to the unique situation of each individual.

Creating Hope and Healing in the lives of domestic violence victims and their children.  Since 1984, Bethany House has served over 1,100 individuals with over 200,000 nights of safe shelter – free of charge.  Annually, Bethany House serves an average of 30 families in shelter.

Bethany House is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio; a member of Sylvania Franciscan Ministries; and is a member of Northwest Ohio Community Shares
